Smarty Pants Big Balloon Show Turns Japanese for Public Libraries!

This summer, Smarty Pants and the Lovely Miss Dena will present an all-new edition of our Big Balloon Show at public libraries in Illinois and Wisconsin for the upcoming 2013 summer reading season.  Throughout June, July and August, we’ll be visiting libraries with our famous balloon show!

This year’s summer reading theme is “Have Book, Will Travel!” so to match, Smarty Pants’ new show is titled “Have Balloon, Will Travel!” and promises a fantastically fun trip around the world with his award-winning balloon props.

Recently on Facebook, I came across a wonderful Japanese artist, Miho Mouri.  Her distinctive style caught my eye – at a particularly convenient time since I was already working on a Japanese themed routine for our new travel show. A few quick email exchanges later, and Miho provided us with this terrific illustration that we’ll be using as part of our show’s promotional materials to libraries.

You can see our schedule for the summer reading season at public libraries on our website – all of our library shows are free, and suitable for all ages!
