One of my favorite features of Google.com is their “Google Alerts” application. Google Alerts allows you to enter your choice of keywords – in my case, I use “Smarty Pants Balloons” and every week, I receive an email letting me know where my selected keywords have appeared recently on the Google.com search engine.

Last weekend Smarty Pants and Miss Dena kicked off the 2011 holiday season with balloon twisting and face painting at the Chalet Nursery in Wilmette, IL. The event had multiple local photographers and reporters covering the special celebration.

In years past, unless someone clipped the article and put it in the mail to me, I may never have seen the writeups about our work. But thanks to Google Alerts, I’ve got a great link in my email inbox from the Skokie Patch from last weekend’s event.
